Today, at the office of Zila Yuva Vikas Sangthan the police officer from Railway Protection Force (RPF), Railway Station Ambala Cantt informed the coordinator Ajay Tiwari that a passenger had informed on the Rail Help number that two girls aged about 4 years and 2 years were roaming around unattended in the Malwa Express train coming from Ludhiana and no family member was present with them.

As soon as the information was received, it was transferred to the head of the organization, Paramjit Singh Badola. The head instructed the coordinator Ajay Tiwari to immediately rescue the girls and present them before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). As per the instructions, Community Social Worker Harvinder Singh and Hakam Singh were immediately sent for rescue the girls.
The team reached the RPF police station and took the girls under their protection. While talking to the girls, one of them told that their mother had left them at the station and gone somewhere. During the investigation by the female police officer, a slip was found in the pocket of the girl, on which a mobile number was written. When this number was called, it was found to be the number of the father of the girls. In the conversation, the father told that due to a family dispute, his wife had taken the girls from home and now she had left them alone in the train and gone somewhere.
After this, Hakam Singh told the father of the girls to immediately reach Ambala Cantt to pick them up. The father told that the grandmother of the girls lives in Chandigarh and he is informing her about this so that she can reach Ambala Cantt as soon as possible.
Keeping in mind the safety of the girls, their DDR was registered at Ambala Cantt Railway Station and their medical examination was done at Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantt. The matter was reported to Mrs. Ranjita Sachdeva, Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Ambala and the girls were presented before the committee.
About two hours later, the grandparents of the girls reached Ambala Cantt. After verification of necessary documents, the girls were handed over to their grandparents in safe condition.
