A collective effort is necessary to end TB: Dr. Sandeep Agarwal

Adesh Medical College and Hospital, Mohrhi i successfully organized a (CME) program on the occasion of World TB Day In which Kurukshetra Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Sandeep Agarwal participated as the keynote speaker and delivered his address. Dr. Sandeep Agarwal said that everyone has to work together to reduce the global burden of TB and accelerate progress towards its eradication. The program mainly focused on increasing knowledge and the latest developments in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of TB. The theme of this year’s World TB Day, “Yes, We Can End TB”, resonated throughout the session. It emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to eradicate TB. Intensive lectures were given on TB by eminent experts in the field of CME like Dr. Vishal Chopra and Dr. Sukhwant WHO consultant, under the leadership of Nitin Tangri. The session was followed by special presentations on cutting-edge new technologies, emerging therapies and strategies to increase community awareness and engagement. Principal of Adesh Medical College and Hospital Dr. Navdeep Singh Lamba thanked the distinguished speakers and participants and emphasized the institute’s commitment to advance medical education and contribute to the fight against TB.
A poster making competition was also included in the program in which the students of batch-2021 showed their creativity and awareness about TB and prizes were also distributed to the winners.
