The Rotary Club of Ambala organized a tree-planting drive at the SD College Society office campus, Jagadhri Road, Ambala Cantonment, to promote environmental conservation. Club members and NSS volunteers from SD College jointly planted 50 trees and spread the message of environmental protection.
At the event, the Club Secretary Rotarian Dr. R.R. Suri welcomed the chief guests, Deputy Governor Rotary District 3080, Rotarian Naresh Bhardwaj and Assistant Governor Rotarian Rohit Gupta.
In his welcome address, Dr. R.R. Suri said, “Every tree planted by the Rotary family is a priceless gift for future generations. Environmental protection is not only a necessity today, but also our responsibility for the future.”
Club also celebrated the birthday of its President Dr. Vivek Malhotra.On this occasion all members cut a cake and wished him a happy birthday and a healthy, successful life.
The program was attended by Rotarians Dr. Ashawant, Surinder Goyal, Sunil Agarwal, Pankaj Gupta, Sandeep Gupta, Ganesh Sabharwal, Ashok Bhalla, and Pawan Sethi.
At the conclusion of the program, President Dr. Vivek Malhotra expressed his gratitude to all the members, guests, and NSS volunteers present. He also extended special thanks to Rotarian Dr. Rajinder Rana for the excellent organization and warm hospitality of the program.
On this occasion, the Rotary Club appealed to the community to plant more trees and maintain them regularly, conveying the message of “One Tree, One Earth, and One Future.”
