Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shobha Karandlaje said that whatever MSMEs produce, our goal should be to produce quality products for export. There is a demand for natural and fertilizer-free products abroad and we must take this into account. She also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to promote small industries in the country.

She made this statement while addressing the MSME Business Summit and Enterprise Awards ceremony organized by the Rashtriya Jan Udyog Vyapar Sangathan at the Leela Hotel in Gurugram on Sunday. Former MP Raj Babbar delivered a digital speech at the event. Business representatives from across the state participated in the summit. On this occasion, industrialists Rajendra Bansal and Dr. D.P. Goyal were presented the Best Enterprise Award by the Union Minister.

Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shobha Karandlaje was welcomed at the event by National President Amit Gupta, National Executive President Ashok Buwaniwala, State General Secretary Pawan Agarwal and State President Gulshan Dang of the Rashtriya Jan Udyog Vyapar Sangathan. National Trade Welfare Board member Ajay Banarasi Das Gupta, entrepreneurs Pankaj Dawar, Naveen Goyal, Dr. D.P. Goyal, Advocate Abhay Jain, Devraj Mehta, Ankush Jain, J.N. Mangala, and Sumit Rao along with industrialists from across the state were present.

In her address, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje stated that MSMEs are a large sector with immense potential. She told the entrepreneurs present at the event that MSMEs are providing employment to 300 million youth in the country. This is a huge figure. More than 500 million people in the country are running MSMEs. All deserve congratulations. She reiterated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal is to promote MSMEs at all costs. The Prime Minister repeatedly states that MSMEs are a partner in the country’s development. We develop plans to support our partners.

The Union Minister said that foreign countries often say they lack skilled labor. We need to consider this. If we provide skilled labor and power to foreign countries in every field, we will find jobs there at good salaries. She noted that outdated technology is still used in small towns, leading to low production. She also highlighted that many states lack MSME departments, with no officers.

Shobha Karandlaje said that we have developed a plan in collaboration with the World Bank. In this, we are supporting both entrepreneurs and the government. Proposals are prepared and sent to the government for further action, tailored to the states. She added that foreign countries demand skilled labor from us because it is difficult to train the unskilled. Only if they are skilled can they earn good salaries abroad. We are working on training young people in foreign languages and training them to send them abroad.

She highlighted that there is a huge demand for nursing and technical staff in Japan. The government is working on this as well. Every country is placing demands on India based on its needs because they believe India can meet them. She urged bankers not to hesitate in providing loans to small and micro-enterprises. These industries will repay their loans in full and will not run away. Bankers should express this confidence in them. Regarding product marketing, she said that we should not consider it a problem. Our market is right around us. Start in your own city first and then expand.

She urged entrepreneurs to pay attention to what is currently trending. Right now, AI is the trend. People from every country come to India. They need AI and robotic technology. India can provide this. We need to see how prepared we are. She also said that many countries do not produce anything on their own. They depend on countries like China and India.
